Parish Vision & Mission Statement

Lycoming Presbyterian Church lives to do three things:

  To introduce Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him;

  To deepen the faith and commitment of those who already know Him;

  To demonstrate Christ's way of love in service to the world.

   To all who would have their lives enriched by worshipping God in the beauty of holiness; to all who are weary and would find rest; to all who would lead a higher and more dedicated life of service to Christ; to all who may be strangers and have no Church home; to all who seek the abundant life; to all who wish to share in the proclamation of the good news of God’s love and redemption in Christ; this Church extends the friendliest of greetings and invites you to worship with us regularly.

Preaching Topic This Sunday

April 28 Worship Service, at 10:45 AM.   Sermon Title: "Look at My Hands", based on John 20:19-31.  Our hands are a precise indicator of the kind of life we have had to live. A farmer, a day laborer, a plumber, an electrician, all have rough & strong hands, which befit the work those hands have done. Amish people, both men and women, have work-worn hands. Jesus' hands & wrists have tell-tale scars from the cross. This week, we will look with Thomas at the hands of Jesus, and learn truths God has for us.  Come and worship with us!

Spaghetti & Meatballs Dinner

Saturday, April 27, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 PM.   Cost: $9 per person, take outs are available

Dinner includes salad, rolls, and delicious spaghetti & meatballs. The first thing you do after paying for the meal is visit the dessert table, pick out what you want, and carry it to your table.  We have many repeat attenders, who love the meal and our church's fine service!  This dinner is very popular with the community at large.

Church Family: we will need your help working the dinner, and  also donations of your delicious pies & cakes for the dessert table.  Your help is always greatly appreciated!
