Parish Vision & Mission Statement

Lycoming Presbyterian Church lives to do three things:

  To introduce Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him;

  To deepen the faith and commitment of those who already know Him;

  To demonstrate Christ's way of love in service to the world.

   To all who would have their lives enriched by worshipping God in the beauty of holiness; to all who are weary and would find rest; to all who would lead a higher and more dedicated life of service to Christ; to all who may be strangers and have no Church home; to all who seek the abundant life; to all who wish to share in the proclamation of the good news of God’s love and redemption in Christ; this Church extends the friendliest of greetings and invites you to worship with us regularly.

We Appreciate YOU

On Sunday, October 22, our worship at 10:45 AM will center upon the appreciation we all need to have for one another.  Jesus told us to "Love one another, as I have loved you".  As members and friends of Lycoming Presbyterian Church, we are a small and cohesive fellowship in the Body of Christ, made up of members, friends, volunteers, and paid staff. It is remarkable that so many people volunteer to do amazing tasks to help the church function, including sweeping floors, taking the garbage out, cleaning toilets, dusting, snow removal, grass cutting, working at our dinners to prepare, serve, and clean up, handing out church bulletins on Sunday, greeting visitors, and so forth.  The actual list of generous acts done by all people within our fellowship is huge and long.  Anyway, our worship will lift up our appreciation for the love shown for our church home, family, and parish.  Following worship, we will celebrate together in the Church Lounge, sharing a special cake made for the occasion.  Please make a determined effort to be present.  Thank you!

Spaghetti Dinner

Saturday, October 28, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 PM.   Cost: $9 per person, take outs are available

The dinner includes salad, rolls, and spaghetti with two large meatballs.  The first thing you do after paying for the meal is go to the dessert table, pick out what you want, and carry it to your table.  We have many repeat attenders, who love the meal and our church's fine service!

Church Family: we will need your help working the dinner, and  also donations of your delicious pies & cakes for the dessert table.  Your help is always greatly appreciated!

Election Day Soup & Bake Sale

On Tuesday, November 7, from 7 AM to 8 PM, our church will be open as a voting site.   We are seeking donations of homemade soup, baked goods, peanuts, and fudge for the sale.  Please bring your donations to the church Monday, November 6, or early Tuesday morning.  We usually run out of items by early afternoon, because the voters look forward to seeing and tasting the variety of "goodies".  Thank you!

Church Night Out

Tuesday, November 14, at the Kast Hotel, 723 Arch Street, Williamsport, at 6 PM.    Guests are encouraged and welcomed to attend.  This is a wonderful relaxing time for getting to know our church family, by way of conversation and fellowship.  If planning to attend, please sign up in our Church Lounge, or call the Church Office  and leave a message: 570-326-9218.  Thank you.

Hanging of the Greens

On Saturday, December 2, we will have our Hanging of the Greens, starting at 4 PM.  Please come and take part in decorating our church for the Advent Season.  Following our work, a light supper will be served to all who attend.
