Parish Vision & Mission Statement

Lycoming Presbyterian Church lives to do three things:

  To introduce Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him;

  To deepen the faith and commitment of those who already know Him;

  To demonstrate Christ's way of love in service to the world.

   To all who would have their lives enriched by worshipping God in the beauty of holiness; to all who are weary and would find rest; to all who would lead a higher and more dedicated life of service to Christ; to all who may be strangers and have no Church home; to all who seek the abundant life; to all who wish to share in the proclamation of the good news of God’s love and redemption in Christ; this Church extends the friendliest of greetings and invites you to worship with us regularly.

Lenten Bible Study based on Movie Version of "The Shack"

  An exciting Lenten Bible Study is now being presented by Pastor Larry on Sunday evenings at the church, at 6 PM, scheduled through March 25.  The study is based on the movie version of "The Shack", with discussion of movie scenes and characters, related scriptures, and when the story of the film veers away from traditional understandings of the Bible.   Please sign up on the sheet in our church lounge, or call Pastor Larry to leave a message, at 570 244-7593.  More specific information concerning each session is supplied under the tab "Pastor Postings".  The story provided in the movie is a perfect Lenten study theme, as Lent usually deals with Christ's suffering, and our own  personal struggles with suffering and loss, and how God can help us get through and beyond the hurt and negative feelings we have.   All are welcome and encouraged to attend this very special Bible Study. Our meetings are being held in the Pastor's Study, and they last for one hour (with 15 minutes of movie clips, and 45 minutes of group discussion).  Entrance to the building is from the parking lot behind the church.

Spaghetti & Meatballs Dinner

Saturday, March 24, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 PM.   Cost: $9 per person, take outs are available

The dinner includes salad, rolls, and delicious spaghetti & meatballs. The first thing you do after paying for the meal is visit the dessert table, pick out what you want, and carry it to your table.  We have many repeat attenders, who love the meal and our church's fine service!  This dinner is very popular with the community at large, and is being offered on March 24, April 28, September 29, and October 27.

Church Family: we will need your help working the dinner, and  also donations of your delicious pies & cakes for the dessert table.  Your help is always greatly appreciated!
